Review Policies

Edwardian Reviews is currently ACCEPTING review requests!

If you are an historical fiction author or publisher and are looking to have your work reviewed by me, look no further!  I am happy to take on review requests for historical fiction novels taking place in the Georgian or Edwardian eras in history.

Please be sure your book meets the following criteria before submitting a request:

• Setting is in Georgian or Edwardian eras
• Historical Fiction genre
• Audiobook version must be available*

* I try and listen to books via Audible.  I commute over an hour to work each way, so I have about 2 hours a day I can devote to listening.  The result is quicker turnaround times for your review!

Review FAQ's:
My book is not available on Audible or as an audio book, can I send you the book instead?  Yes!  However, please note that your turnaround time for the published review will be 3-4 months instead of 2-4 weeks! :)

Do you review nonfiction books? At this time, no.

When will you post the review? If I am able to listen to your book via Audible, your turnaround time is 2-4 weeks!  If you send me a hard copy, turnaround times are 3-4 months. 

Where will you post your review?  My reviews will be posted on this blog, shared via Twitter and also posted on Goodreads.  A link to purchase your book via The Book Depository will also be posted within the review.

Rating System

5/5 stars = One of the best I've read!  Would definitely recommend!

4/5 stars = Loved it!  Recommended, but not a favorite.

 3/5 stars = A good read, however, there were some elements I didn't enjoy.

2/5 stars = A bit difficult to get through; appreciation for the work, but something I would not read again.

1/5 stars = Appreciation for the work, but not my cup of tea!

Professionalism Clause

Edwardian Reviews will provide an honest review.  We will NEVER bash or attack an author.  We always have respect for an author's hard work.  However, if there are elements of the story we did not enjoy, we will convey that in a manner that is always professional and respectful.
